Application Procedure

You are welcome to apply either online or by telephone. Complete the online application, or call the Shakerag office to apply by telephone (931-598-5651 x3165).

You may pay by credit card or check (checks should be mailed to Shakerag Workshops at the address given below).

If you have already registered, and need to pay the second half of your total via credit card, click through to the payment site here:

Shakerag 2013 fees are as follows:

$45	Registration fee (non-refundable)
$775	Tuition and all meals for non-local registrants
$695	Tuition and meals for registrants who have a second residence in Franklin, Marion, and Grundy County (NOTE: this rate is limited to 10 registrants per session)
$595	Tuition and meals for registrants whose sole residence is in Franklin, Marion, and Grundy County (NOTE: this rate is limited to 10 registrants per session)
$395	Housing - single room with air conditioning (shared bath)
$275	Housing - double room with air conditioning (shared bath)

Upon receipt of your payment, a member of the Shakerag staff will contact you to confirm your space in the workshop and to iron out any details.

Those who would like to take two classes at Shakerag are encouraged to register for both sessions. On Saturday and Sunday mornings, a light breakfast is served in the dining hall. On Saturday participants may join Shakerag staff members for lunch, and arrangements can be made to work in the studios throughout the afternoon. Transportation is provided on Saturday evening into Sewanee where participants can choose from several different restaurants for dinner. Another option is a Saturday trip to downtown Chattanooga, home of the Hunter Museum, the Aquarium, and many interesting shops. On Sunday, transportation is provided to the local flea market in the morning and into the Sewanee restaurants for lunch. Studios are open throughout the day, and a campus tour or swim are both available at 4:30. There is no additional charge for staying through the weekend, though the Chattanooga trip does involve a $10 transportation fee.
