Scholarships

Shakerag Summer Scholarships

Shakerag Workshops offers up to eight full scholarships each June. Tuition, housing, meals, and class fees up to $50 are provided by the scholarship. Each scholarship recipient is responsible for their own travel expenses, and any remainder of class fees and supplies. No experience in art is necessary to participate but we are looking for applicants who can clearly describe how this experience will benefit their work, and/or how they will be able to share this experience with others. Classes available for scholarships include all Session II and Session III workshops that still have openings at the time scholarship recipients are selected. 

At Shakerag Workshops, we welcome a diverse community whose members value creativity, individuality, and a place to share an array of ideas. This opportunity is open to educators, artists who work in collaboration, emerging artists, artists impacted by natural disasters, and artists under-represented in their field of art.  

Shakerag is a welcoming, safe space, and we want to share it with you.

Tennessee Craft Summer Study Scholarships

Scholarships are available to Tennessee Craft members for the purpose of providing educational advancement to craft artists wishing to improve their knowledge and skills in a craft medium of their choice.

TN Craft Members can apply now for a 2026 Summer Study Scholarship. The deadline to apply is February 15, 2026.
