President, Board of Trustees
St. Andrew's-Sewanee School

Dear Rich,

I write to inform you that I have accepted a call to be the next Head of School at Frederica Academy on St. Simon's Island, Georgia to begin on July 1, 2015. While my family and I will be leaving St. Andrew's-Sewanee, we do so with gratitude for seven years of growing and changing together. I am ever grateful to the board, administration, faculty, staff, parents, and many friends for maintaining and enhancing the mission and ministry of this unique and special school.

I will serve at the board's direction to lead the school through the rest of the academic year and to assist the board and the administration in enabling a smooth transition. St. Andrew's-Sewanee School has many challenges and opportunities that will attract a fine leader with the skills and heart to guide and grow the school in the next chapter of her history.

While my family and I will miss our many friends and colleagues, SAS will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you for the opportunity to live and work among you.

The Rev. John Taliaferro Thomas
