Reflect, Inspire, Create: Deep Dive into the Creative Process : Supply List

Below are the supplies Amy has suggested for the class. Once enrolled, a detailed list will be emailed to you with suggestions of where and what to get (and why!). Please reference the emailed list before buying anything!

  • 9x12 spiral bound sketchbook (NEW!)
  • fine tip sharpie
  • 1qt baggie or small shoebox 
  • smartphone camera or digital camera
  • 18” ruler
  • circle template and/or ellipse template
  • 1yd fabric (scraps or variety fine)
  • an image or images of a finished piece that you made that you love and an image or images of a finished piece that you don’t love. (Images can be printed or in digital format on your laptop or iPad.)
  • comfortable shoes and clothes for walking, sunscreen, water bottle
  • pen & pencil, glue stick, Artist tape, Scissors
  • 8 ½ x 11 sheets of various papers
  • black and white cotton thread, or colors of your choice (at least one spool)
  • sewing needles
  • safety pins
  • one inexpensive package ($5 or less) of something that comes in multiples (Popsicle sticks, for example.)
  • If you are a jewelry maker, please feel free to bring your favorite basic tools and any other tools and equipment you like to use. I am not requiring the purchase of any jewelry tools for anyone for this class. (Basic jewelry tools such as saw frame and blades, wire cutters, needle nose pliers, round nose pliers, raw hide mallet, riveting hammer, chasing hammer, bench block or anvil, flex shaft or Dremel tool, drill bits, sand paper, goggles, dust mask)
  • 6 x 6 inch sheet metal of your choice – brass or copper – 24 or 22 gauge (if you are jewelry maker)
