Jumper Hack-a-Thon
SESSION II: JUNE 8-14
SEWING
WITH LIBBY O'BRYAN
Join Libby O'Bryan in sewing a jumper and then using the same pattern to draft additional styles of your own design.
Course Description
Using the Open Studio’s Bumper Jumper pattern, we will first learn how to cut and sew this garment step-by-step. Then, we will take this pattern and make other styles from it - a shirt, a dress, new necklines, etc. – you're own creative designs. Let's see how many versions we can come up with during this pattern hack-a thon! This style is a great jumping off point for beginning sewers and patternmakers. You will learn foundational patternmaking techniques and garment planning, enhancing your home sewing practice so you can develop garments that fit well and belong in your closet. During class, we will also read and discuss slow fashion topics to steep our practice in sustainable fashion culture.
