Course Description
Object setting, fabrication, making connections, and soldering will be among the techniques we will cover to bring our items of intrigue into refined wearables. Students are expected to come with a playful mindset and leave with multiple finished pieces, a better understanding of various metalsmithing techniques, and lots of creative inspiration for future projects.
Open to all levels.

Artist Biography
Anna Johnson is a studio artist living in Asheville, NC. Her work is exhibited internationally, has appeared in numerous publications including American Craft Magazine, Metalsmith Magazine, and CAST: Art and Objects, and is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Arts and Design in NY, NY. Johnson has taught at Penland School of Craft, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, and Haywood Community College.
