SESSION II: JUNE 8-14
CLAY
WITH LINDSAY ROGERS
Explore firing techniques to create high-contrast imagery on tableware with Lindsay Rogers.
Course Description
Soft Soda invites participants to explore the intersection of layered surface design and atmospheric firing. Demonstrations will focus on techniques used to create high-contrast imagery and depth of surface on tableware. While all stages of the clay will be utilized in demonstrations, high fire bisque ware should be brought to explore resists, glazes, and flashing slips. The workshop will conclude with a style of soda firing intended to softly enhance the elaborately decorated surface.
