About The Artist

Alison Pack Bova is Professor Emerita at Radford University in Virginia where she was the head of jewelry and metalsmithing for 19 years. She holds an MFA from East Tennessee State University and a BS in art education from Appalachian State. Alison has taught workshops at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, John C. Campbell Folk School, Pullen Arts Center, PocosinArts, East Carolina University, and the Yuma Arts Symposium. She is a 2016 Niche award winner and first place winner in Handcrafted 2025. Her exhibitions include: Afternoon Tea; Interwoven: 2026 Material Topics Symposium; Delicate Expressions; 2025 Arrowmont Instructor Exhibition; the Enamellist Society’s Alchemy 4, 5, 6, and 7; Materials Hard & Soft 2022 and 2023; and Paper Alchemy: The Traveling Thurmanite Exhibition. Alison’s publications include Humor in Craft, Cast, Art Jewelry Today 3, Art Jewelry Today 2, Metalsmith, and The Art of Fine Enameling. She is currently a full-time studio artist and resides in Montana with her husband Ken Bova, her dog Sandy, and four cats.
