Shakerag Workshops is a soul-nourishing experience. It is truly the best kind of self care. The world we live in rarely gives us permission to slow down and create. What a privilege it is to devote a week of our lives to art, learning, and connection. The instructors are working artists with tremendous talent and generosity. The food is thoughtfully prepared from local ingredients. And you get to experience all of this while being fully immersed in the natural beauty of Sewannee, TN on the lovely campus of St. Andrews Sewannee.

I kept telling people I was going to "adult art camp," which sounds pretty delightful in and of itself, but doesn't truly do justice to the magic of Shakerag. The camaraderie, the gorgeous natural setting, the delicious shared meals, the evening presentations—all of it melds into the most wonderful art-centric respite from our everyday lives and concerns. My brain was happily buzzed on art and the positive energy of other Shakeraggians all week long.

How do I possibly put language to what I just experienced? In two short days, my life has been permanently altered by these skilled potters of the heart. I arrived as soft clay & now leave being formed more beautifully than I could’ve anticipated. Upon setting foot on the Shakerag property, I felt a magnetic pull to get out of my head & into my heart. The atmosphere of Sewanee is unparalleled. You get the quintessential southern countryside experience that every human should experience when in need of a creative reset. Incredible food, insane art, and somehow even better people. With the Shakerag staff, teachers, and attendees, I was whisked into a world of friendliness, care, and whimsy. This workshop is a space for all who are interested in exercising their creative muscles, and is excellent for both beginners and seasoned experts alike...
